Salmon is one of the things I really appreciate having close to us here in the Northwest. I saw a photograph of salmon recently that really inspired me due to the vivid colors and repetition. I wanted to capture that vividness and movement in this piece, and I took a much looser approach than usual.
Canvas made with archival-quality natural cotton, this heavy duty canvas is gesso primed. The frame is professionally constructed, with medium-weight cotton duck stretched around 1 1/2" profile kiln-dried stretcher bars and held in place with a flexible spline. Edges are painted black.
